I suppose I should start off by saying Happy Holidays to those of you who celebrate them; I hope you all had a good year. School's been the usual, keeping up with grades, staying in shape, and resolving my military-related affairs is always a juggling act, but I'm keeping my head above water. Art, at least the Illustrator-related kind I have a reputation of making has been slow to nonexistent, sadly. Oh well, I'll get around to it eventually if I feel like it. No, contrary to popular belief, I am not dead. At least not yet. Yes, it's been a while since the last journal. I know. It's been an 'interesting' year, to say the least. A military environment in college has it's ups and downs, but overall, I think I like it. I got in pretty good shape and got some discipline, a body I'm not ashamed of taking to the beach, and some self-respect to boot. A pretty good deal as far as I'm concerned. Well, guys and gals, a lot has happened since my last journal entry. At the time of his writing, I am preparing to move into my college dorm room at Virginia Tech, which I'm sure will be a hassle. I got into the Corps of Cadets there, and I will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant Army officer if I don't wash out. The summer's been okay, I painted two nerf guns during that time (both of which are on my page), turned 18, and bought my first rifle, a genuine Russian SKS, which I eventually traced down to be made in the Tula armory in Russia in 1955/56, if anyone is like myself and actually cares.
